Download Help

This guide will help you access and download the products you’ve purchased from WPiGo. Whether you checked out as a guest or created an account, we’ll show you exactly how to get your files.


1. Accessing Your Downloads

Method 1: From Your Confirmation Email (Fastest)

Immediately after purchase, you received a confirmation email with download links:

  1. Check your inbox for an email from WPiGo (check spam/junk folder if not found)
  2. Open the email titled “Order Confirmation – #[Order Number]”
  3. Scroll to the product section
  4. Click the “Download [Product Name]” button
  5. The ZIP file will download to your computer

⚠️ Important: Download links in emails work indefinitely, but we recommend saving your files immediately.

Method 2: From Your WPiGo Account Dashboard

If you created an account (or checked out as a guest and later created one), you can always access your purchases:

  1. Go to WPiGo.com
  2. Click Login in the top right
  3. Enter your email and password
  4. Go to My Account
  5. Click on the “My Purchases” tab
  6. Find your product in the list
  7. Click the Download button

Method 3: From Order Confirmation Page

After completing checkout, you were shown an order confirmation page:

  • Check your browser history for URLs containing /order-confirmation/
  • Or check your confirmation email for a “View Order” link
  • The order confirmation page includes download buttons for all products

2. I Can’t Find My Download Email

Check These Places:

  • Spam/Junk Folder: Sometimes emails get filtered incorrectly
  • Promotions Tab (Gmail): Check the Promotions tab if you use Gmail
  • Search Your Inbox: Search for “WPiGo” or “order confirmation”
  • Check All Email Accounts: Make sure you’re checking the email address used at checkout

Still Can’t Find It?

Don’t worry! You have options:
Create an Account with Your Purchase Email:

  • Go to WPiGo.com and click Register
  • Use the same email address you used at checkout
  • After creating your account, your purchases will automatically appear in the My Purchases tab

Contact Us:

  • Email contact@wpigo.com
  • Include your order number (if known) or transaction details
  • Include the email address used at checkout
  • We’ll resend your download links within 1-2 hours

3. Understanding Your Download

File Format

All products are delivered as ZIP files. A ZIP file is a compressed archive that contains all the product files.
Typical filename: product-name-v1.2.3.zip

What’s Inside the ZIP?

After extracting, you’ll typically find:

  • Main plugin/theme folder: The actual product files
  • Documentation folder: Instructions and guides (PDF or HTML)
  • README file: Quick start instructions
  • LICENSE file: License terms and conditions
  • Additional files: May include sample data, PSD files, or other resources (varies by product)

Do I Need to Extract the ZIP?

For WordPress installation: NO! Upload the ZIP file directly to WordPress without extracting.
To view documentation: YES. Extract the ZIP to read included documentation files.


4. Download Issues & Troubleshooting

Problem: Download Starts But Fails/Interrupts

Solutions:

  • Check your internet connection stability
  • Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
  • Temporarily disable browser extensions/ad blockers
  • Use a download manager if your internet is unstable
  • Try downloading at a different time (off-peak hours)

Problem: “Download Link Expired” Error

Solution: Links shouldn’t expire, but if you see this message:

  • Log in to your WPiGo account and download from the My Purchases tab
  • Or contact us at contact@wpigo.com for a fresh link

Problem: ZIP File Won’t Open or Is Corrupted

Causes & Solutions:

  • Incomplete download: Check the file size matches what’s shown on the product page. Re-download if needed.
  • Extraction software issue: Try a different program:
    • Windows: Built-in extractor, 7-Zip, WinRAR
    • Mac: Built-in Archive Utility, The Unarchiver
    • Linux: unzip command or Archive Manager
  • Antivirus interference: Temporarily disable antivirus and re-download

Problem: Download Is Very Slow

Tips for faster downloads:

  • Pause other downloads/uploads
  • Close streaming services (Netflix, YouTube, etc.)
  • Connect via Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi if possible
  • Try downloading at off-peak hours (late night/early morning)

Problem: File Downloads as .HTML Instead of .ZIP

Solution:

  • Right-click the download button
  • Select “Save Link As…” or “Download Linked File”
  • Make sure the filename ends with .zip
  • Save to your desired location

5. Re-Downloading Products

Can I Download Again Later?

Yes! You can re-download your products anytime, for free, from your WPiGo account dashboard. This is useful when:

  • You lost your original files
  • You need to install on a different computer
  • Your hard drive crashed
  • You’re setting up a new website

How to Re-Download

  1. Log in to your WPiGo account
  2. Go to My Account
  3. Click on the My Purchases tab
  4. Click Download next to any product
  5. You’ll always get the latest version available to your license

💡 Pro Tip: Create an account (if you haven’t) to access your purchases forever, even if you lose your confirmation email.


6. Downloading Updated Versions

How to Know When Updates Are Available

Method 1: WordPress Automatic Notifications

  • If your license is activated (see our License Guide), you’ll see update notifications in your WordPress admin (just like WordPress.org plugins)
  • Go to Dashboard → Updates to see available updates

Method 2: WPiGo Dashboard

  • Log in to your WPiGo account
  • Go to My Account → My Purchases tab
  • Products with available updates will show an “Update Available” badge

Method 3: Email Notifications

  • Some products may have email notifications when major updates are released
  • Check your email preferences to ensure update notifications are enabled

Downloading Updates

Automatic Update (Recommended):

  1. Go to Dashboard → Updates in WordPress
  2. Check the box next to the product
  3. Click Update Plugins/Themes

Manual Update:

  1. Download the latest version from the My Purchases tab in your account
  2. Follow the Installation Guide to update manually

⚠️ Important: Always backup your site before updating!


7. Best Practices

✓ Do These Things:

  • Download immediately after purchase: Don’t wait – save your files right away
  • Create a backup: Save ZIP files to a secure location (cloud storage, external drive)
  • Create an account: Ensure you can always access your purchases
  • Save license keys: Copy them to a password manager or secure document
  • Check file integrity: Make sure downloads complete successfully
  • Keep download links private: Don’t share your download links publicly

✗ Avoid These Mistakes:

  • Don’t delete confirmation emails until you’ve backed up files
  • Don’t share download links with others (violates license terms)
  • Don’t extract ZIP files before uploading to WordPress
  • Don’t ignore update notifications

8. Mobile Device Downloads

Can I Download on Mobile?

Yes, but we recommend using a desktop/laptop computer for easier file management.

If You Must Use Mobile:

  • iOS: Files will download to the Files app. You’ll need a file manager app to work with ZIP files.
  • Android: Files download to your Downloads folder. Use a file manager or extractor app if needed.
  • Recommendation: Download on mobile, then transfer to computer via cloud storage (Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud)

9. Security & Safety

Are Downloads Safe?

Yes! All products on WPiGo are reviewed for security. However, follow these safety practices:

  • ✓ Only download from official WPiGo links (wpigo.com domain)
  • ✓ Verify download comes from your confirmation email or logged-in dashboard
  • ✓ Check file extensions (.zip for products)
  • ✓ Use antivirus software if you’re concerned
  • ✗ Never download products from third-party “free download” sites (they may contain malware)

10. Refund Policy Reminder

If you experience issues with your download or the product doesn’t work as described, you have 15 days to request a refund. Contact us at contact@wpigo.com with your order details. See our Refund Policy for complete details.
